People who lived through the great depression knew what it was like to live with no pay check at all for years on end. It was a horrible time for millions. Many people today that are unemployed and have such a hard time finding a job can relate to those of many years ago.

There are those of us that are lucky and have a steady job, although in a lot of our cases it is a real strain to make ends meet from one check until the next. When you find your self in that financially strained boat that so many others are riding in along with you, there are not a lot of things that you can do about it. The most of us will choose to keep struggling as long as we can rather than give up a nice home or car that we feel like we deserve to have.

Even though there are millions who still try to do the unthinkable and use there credit cards to supplement their income when needed, others are choosing a different way to get through the crunch when the money runs out before the week does. How many of you remember college?  It seems like a while ago, but I can remember trying to balance school, studying, working and my social life.  We were so busy during college but we had so much fun that it didn't matter.  If I had to adhere to that schedule now, I don't know if I could make it.  Of course, there were the few that didn't have to work while they were in college, but most of my friends and I did. 

Finding a job that worked around my schedule was always a challenge.  They either wanted me to train during times that I had class, or they weren't really willing to work around my class schedule.  If it wasn't conflicting with my class schedule, I was doomed to not having a social life.  Of course finding a time to study was a challenge as well.  I got tired of waiting tables and being on my feet so long.  Most office jobs just didn't work around my schedule either.  Somehow I made it, struggling along the way.

Now I see my nephew struggling through school the same way.  I know some things have changed and some companies will try to work around the class schedule, but they don't pay much.  I really didn't want to see him go through the same thing I went through so I started doing research to find him another option.
